Clark Brooking, Pastor
Cheryl Brooking, Director of Children’s Ministries
Clark is a graduate of Westminster Theological Seminary in Philadelphia where he earned his Masters of Divinity. He came to us after spending several years in doctoral studies in the history of biblical interpretation at Hebrew Union College in Cincinnati. While he was working on his dissertation, the Lord placed upon his heart a burden for ministry and discipleship of God’s people. He joined the staff of Living Hope in 2007, providing leadership to family and life-stage ministries. When the organizing pastor, Peter Lee, left to serve as a professor of Old Testament at Reformed Theological Seminary in the District of Columbia, Clark was chosen as the new pastor. He is married to Cheryl and they have three children, Russell, Carson, and Lincoln.
Cheryl has a Masters of Arts in Teaching, and has many years of experience working with children in various environments, from the public school classroom to private and home school. She served as a teacher and as an administrator in Classical and Christian educational institutions prior to joining our staff. She brings warmth, leadership experience and biblical and theological acumen to our children’s ministries.
Tim Flora, Pastor
with Dana, his wife
Pastor Tim joined the Living Hope staff as a teaching elder serving alongside Pastor Clark in September of 2015. Tim has served in pastoral ministry since 1993 in churches in Georgia and Maryland. Previously ordained in the Southern Baptist Church, Tim was ordained in the Orthodox Presbyterian Church in 2005. He earned his Master of Divinity degree in 1997 from Luther Rice University. He met his wife Dana in 10th grade of high school and was delighted to be married to her 9 years later in 1988. Tim and Dana gratefully depend on God’s grace as they encourage their children Emma, Kevin, Leah, Anna, Calla and Kyle. Tim enjoys sharing the preaching and pastoral responsibilities with Clark, helping to facilitate worship, overseeing the home fellowship group ministry as well as meeting with individuals, couples and families who are seeking to grow in God’s amazing grace. He likes to watch and discuss movies and tries to keep up with the Flora’s cat(s), dog and guinea pig.
